Life and Times in Port Aransas
Just gotta love the weather here. We got our first real cold front and everyone has pulled out the long sleeve shorts, shoes, socks and jackets.
I don't know how long this is gonna last but we have the Lovett's Beach Bash this coming weekend. Karaoke on the Beach is Friday night at marker 27.
Myself, I will be at Lovett's Bar hosting karaoke there if people actually show up. There are still the occasional tourists so they might show up. Gonna hate missing the party, but it's probably a good thing. I would probably get sicker than a dog hanging out on the beach at night. I'm just getting over my last bout and don't want to get it again.
They had Miss Rose's pig/birthday party last weekend and from what I here it was the biggest yet.
Sunday I stayed home instead of going to the Sunday jam session at Neptune's and it's a good thing I did. Steve called me from Lovett's around 10:30pm and said that all of the hill country musicians that did karaoke Friday night were in the bar with all their instruments and jamming out and they wanted me to come down and join them.
I got there about 10:45 and we had a great time and it lasted till closing time. It was a blast.
Yesterday I had to reconfigure the wifi at Lovett's. I think it had something to do with the cold front hitting and the storm it brought with it. I also ordered Tom an original copy of his birth certificate, a replacement social security card and he said that doing all of that plus submitting Lovett's as a wifi hotspot to 15 places erased the debt I owed him for buying me photo paper, business card stock, regular printer paper, 4 print cartridges and I forget all else that he picked up for me, but I loved the deal. Out of debt again!

Catching Redfish With Jalapeno Peppers
Anyone who knows me knows that I live in a "Sleepy little drinking town with a fishing problem". I have caught all kinds of fish here in Port Aransas, Texas, and I have used all kinds of bait. But this is the first time I have ever seen this. I'm going fishing Saturday with my brother and you can bet I'm gonna take some Jalapenoes.

Billie Jo's Birthday Party
We had a great time Wednesday evening at Lovett’s Bar celebrating Billie Jo’s birthday party. A good time was had by all, especially Billie Jo. Steve and Serena did a great job setting up everything. The decorations and flower arangements were all great as well as the food. Below is a slide show of the evening.

Life and Times in Port Aransas
Today was a pretty good day. I got WiFi hooked up at Lovett's Bar and I've spent the better part of the afternoon and evening listing Lovett's on all the WiFi hotspot directories. I think the winter texans will make good use of it. There are quite a few of the RV parks that already have it.
However, I got to thinking there are several, 3-4, places that have internet solely for their customers and they aren't listed either. I'm thinking that at about 50-75$ each place I can pick up a little chunk of change entering their hotspots in all the directories as well. Gonna check that out.
Played Texas Hold-Em at Lovett's and I was the first one out again. Sometimes I do pretty good and sometimes I don't do well at all. That means most of the time. I do like to play the game.
Starting to feel a little better every day, but I think I over did it a little on Sunday at the Neptune's Jam Session. Yesterday was a lay around and do much of nothing day.

Sunday Jam at Neptune's Retreat 10/14/07
Had a great time yesterday playing and singing at Neptune's Sunday Jam Session. There were quite a few pickers and a lot of people watching and singing along. This is the first time I've been there in over a month and I stayed for the whole 4 hours this time. It was great and a good time was had by all. At least it looked that way to me. Life and Times in Port Aransas
I'm still sick but feeling better. I got some antibiotics yesterday and they have me feeling somewhat better already. My brother Roy, sister-in-law Linda, nephew James and his date Stephanie were in Lovett's for karaoke last night and I ventured out to spend some time with them and take some karaoke pictures.
I actually feel good enough to maybe head to Neptunes this afternoon for the Sunday Jam Session. I don't know how much I will be able to sing but I can always just play along as long as my hands will let me. I'm looking forward to it.
This is the most perfect time of the year here in Port Aransas, Texas. The weather is simply beautiful, wish you were all here. I think it goes something like the weather is here, wish you were beautiful. Yeah, now that I read it, that's it.
I'm hoping that everyone else out there in the blogosphere is having as great a day as I am.
